Dr. Yunez completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Hospital network in 1987. He later completed a sub-specialty in Phlebology (diagnosis and treatment of varicose and spider veins), pioneering the Closure Procedure in the midwest in 1999 and the Endovenous Laser Treatment in 2001, having treated thousands of patients since 1994. More recently he has become certified in Anti-Aging Medicine (bio-identical hormone replacement therapy).
He is certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, is an active member of the American College of Phlebology, the International Union of Phlebology, the Academy of Preventive & Innovative Medicine, and the International Peptide Society.

Anna is a nationally certified Physician Assistant and functions as our Clinical Director overseeing our talented group of injectors at SpaDerma. Anna attended Illinois Wesleyan University to obtain her bachelor’s degree and later graduated with a Masters of Science from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in 2011. She began her career working in emergency and hospital medicine, which gave her a great foundation in medicine and allowed her to familiarize herself with varying specialties. In 2015 Anna made the full-time transition to plastic surgery and medical aesthetics and has never looked back. Anna treats neurotoxin and filler patients at our West Loop and North Shore locations, in addition to providing medical consultations across all SpaDerma locations. She holds certifications in advanced techniques for dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and for the use of radio frequency devices. Additionally, Anna is certified in a variety of lasers, including intense pulse light (IPL), broadband light, hyperhidrosis treatment, chemical peels, Aquagold, Kybella injections and PRP restoration for hair growth and skin rejuvenation. Anna has had significant exposure to a multitude of interventions for both surgical and non surgical enhancement. Anna prides herself on providing her patient's with a comprehensive assessment accompanied by a straightforward plan to achieve their goals. Anna is passionate about continuing education, as you can often find her reading articles regarding current developments in the dynamic industry of medical aesthetics. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, catching a sporting event or dining at one of Chicago's acclaimed restaurants.

Amanda graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She began her professional career as a pediatric oncology nurse at the University of Chicago Medicine while obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain in 2016. As a board-certified advanced practice nurse, Amanda worked her first five years in pediatric primary care. Ready for a change, Amanda decided to embark on a new career path within the Aesthetic industry and was thrilled to find she could use her skillset in a new way. Amanda’s keen eye and attention to detail lend to her patient’s satisfaction, knowing they are working with someone who can enhance their natural beauty effortlessly and intuitively. Bubbly and personable, Amanda enjoys building long-term relationships with each of her clients every visit.

Dagmara holds her board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a Loyola University Chicago Alumni with dual bachelor degrees in Psychology and Nursing. She received her masters degree from Olivet Nazarene University in 2019. She then continued her practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Dagmara worked in a variety of specialties as an RN. Her background ranges in emergency medicine and perioperative services. Her passion for aesthetic procedures grew while working alongside plastic surgeons assisting in plastic and facial reconstructive surgeries at Rush University Medical Center. She thrives in making her patients feel confident through natural aesthetic procedures and helping her patients age gracefully. Dagmara was born in Poland and immigrated to the United States as a little girl. She is fluent in the Polish language and continues to embrace her culture. Dagmara also functions as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University teaching the new generation of nursing students. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and continuing her education in the newest aesthetic techniques.

Maria has been a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017. She received her masters degree from Loyola University Chicago and her bachelors from Northern Arizona University. She has a wide variety of specialties from her RN career, ranging from medical surgical, oncology, internal medicine, and allergy and immunology. Maria has been with SpaDerma West Loop since its inception in January 2018. She provides a personal experience and is devoted to her patients. She takes pride in making them feel confident in their appearance. She likes to educate her patients and make them aware of all their skincare options. Maria is a first generation Polish American and is fluent in the Polish language. She still continues to embrace her Polish heritage and traditions. She enjoys traveling with her husband and learning about other cultures.

Nico graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health with an emphasis in Health Administration and Policy. He began his medical career as an EMT in the ER and continued his education in a nursing program at Milwaukee School of Engineering. Nico’s established passion for emergency medicine and critical care led to his role as an emergency room RN. After many successful years in this position, Nico was inspired to pursue the next step in his career, advancing his education to aesthetic nursing--a field that allows him to tap into his artistic side while using his clinical judgement and experience. With this combined passion, Nico puts an emphasis on patient safety while producing an individualized and beautiful final result. Nico’s contagious positivity helps him build long-lasting relationships with his patients which wasn't feasible in the emergency setting he started out in.

As a biology major in college Kaitlyn always knew she wanted to be in a medical setting. Shortly thereafter, she discovered a love for skincare and decided to pursue the aesthetics industry by attending cosmetology school at the Estelle Skin Care and Spa Institute. After gaining training and knowledge from various Med Spas, Dermatologist & Plastic Surgeon offices, Kaitlyn is proud to now call Spaderma her home. Kaitlyn carries extensive knowledge on how to treat & maintain varying skin conditions, including acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea & compromised skin texture. Kaitlyn loves to create customized treatment plans accompanied by attainable at-home routines to optimize each patient's unique concerns. Shortly after graduating, she dabbled in the real estate industry, but soon came to the realization that she could turn her love for skincare into a life-long career. As a teen, Nadya struggled with acne which followed into her adulthood. This fueled her desire to learn more about skincare to not only help herself, but to also help others with their skin concerns. In 2020, she attended Universal Spa Training Academy, and went through extensive training at True U Education where she received her Medical Esthetic and Laser Certification. After working as a professional makeup artist for over 10 years, Nikki realized she wanted to dive deeper into the skin. After graduating from Estelle Skin Care and Spa Institute she joined Chicago’s top plastic surgeon, Dr. Dayan, as an intern where she found her true passion in medical aesthetics. Chemical Peels and Microneedling are not only some of her favorite treatments to perform, but to receive as well. Nikki herself is prone to adult acne which always leads to post inflammatory pigmentation, so these treatments have been the biggest game changer for her.
