Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliating procedure that simultaneously uses crystals to break up dull, dead skin, and suction to clear away debris, even texture and tone, and promote collagen production. Microdermabrasion leaves the skin with a fresher, glowing look. It also makes it easy for skincare products to penetrate into deeper layers of the skin!

    Microdermabrasion Overview

Learn more about microdermabrasion at all of our locations, how to prepare for your treatment, and what to expect for aftercare.

    What Microdermabrasion does

Utilizing an exfoliating diamond tip, the microdermabrasion helps to brighten and soften dull skin while removing dead skin cells and buildup.

    How to prepare for Microdermabrasion

Discontinue use of retinoids and prescription topicals 7 days prior to your treatment. Discontinue antibiotics 14 days prior and avoid sun exposure 30 days prior to each treatment.

    What to expect during Microdermabrasion

During your treatment you should expect to feel a light suction and a mild exfoliation with the Diamond tip Microderm. Afterward, your skin will be noticeably softer and brighter — all with no downtime.

    Post-care notes

    • Make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen after your treatment, since your skin will be more susceptible to sunlight.
    • Avoid using products that could potentially irritate your skin. Don’t use products with glycolic acid, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or topical acne treatments for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
    • Don't drink alcohol or caffeine immediately after your treatment. Also, take it easy and don't exert yourself since your skin will still be sensitive.
